Norte Dame, cathedral towers
Rome, praise be to god
Zadar, bells of Saint Anastasia 
Prague, Chvála Bohu!
bells ringing on high 
from towers of the Lord
built to touch the sky
and hear the angles’ choir. 
We can hear them tonight
in laughs of children and loved ones
in the poor’s cries of blessing
in our selfless daughters and sons 
We hear it in  the quiet times
and in the times we hold out hope 
the times you comfort an hurt stranger
when you first hear speak the Pope.
then bells chime from up on high
you can hear the angles’ joy
as their children, the children of God
finally find something to enjoy.
